Our tool uses YouTube's API to extract available transcripts from the video. When you paste a YouTube URL and click generate, we fetch the transcript data, process it, and display it in a readable format. For videos without official transcripts, we cannot generate one at this time.
Yes, our basic transcript extraction service is 100% free to use with no limits. The AI summary feature is also free but may have usage limits in the future.
You can get transcripts for videos that have captions available, either auto-generated by YouTube or manually added by the creator. For videos without captions, our tool cannot generate a transcript.
Our AI summaries are generated using advanced natural language processing algorithms. While they're quite accurate in capturing the key points of the content, they may occasionally miss nuances or context-specific details. We recommend reviewing the summary alongside the full transcript for critical information.
Currently, you can copy the transcript or summary to your clipboard. We're working on adding direct download options for PDF, TXT, and other formats in a future update.
Yes, our tool works with transcripts in any language that YouTube supports. However, the AI summary feature currently works best with English content.
